After many years of inventing and writing provisional patent drafts I find that seeking out products that assist others in comfort or need in a physical function are sure to gain long term rewards if an improvement within a field and the art is improved upon by you. Inventions that have to do with safety are really a whole lot of liability and one needs to contemplate seriously before entering into those types of inventions. I have a great example for this one, no company wants to manufacture a highly liables product. A wheel chair company had been in business for quite some time and about eight years, I received a call in the office from an attorney contending that his client had cut her leg while passing by one of the companies wheelchairs in a home care environment. The serial number given of the wheelchair showed it was produced in 1988 and the then current year was 1994. I asked the attorney why we were being sued, he stated that the lady was overweight and got an infection in her leg and had to have it amputated, and that we were being sued for hospital costs and to support her for the remaining days of her life. I simply stated to the attorney I guess then we will see you in court. The bottom line is that liabilities run for the life of your product and anyone with a brain can figure out how to get hurt by your product which will break a small company if that person threatens a law suite. Even the threat of a law suite from product failure can break even the best of companies. Stay away from highly dangerous inventions, inventions that claim safety, and inventions that can hurt people.
The ManMotor project is more directed to a population that needs the product more than the liabily issues are concerned with. The ManMotor will be used by an audience of people that understand we need to get a grip on reality and understand we are a growing population, and until the point we grow past our ability to support the large infrastructures and their costs associated with them, no one will use the product to generate electricity from human energy input. In other words there will be no option to sue someone when this product is needed, the people will be desperate to save the food they have collected and won't be worried about any lawyers or such. That makes me want to continue investing my time to develop the product, the motivation is high.
The ManMotor is simply there because of need, not an option. It is designed to allow a human being to produce a useable form of electrical energy, for survival purposes (example today). It is also designed for a time era that people have no jobs and are idle and de motivated to accomplish anything. The ManMotor will allow a human being to simply move from one side to the other or the option of working out to increase the bodies range of motion to feel healthier and generate electricity at the same time. This could keep thousands of non working people productive by simply moving and producing storeable electricity. The ManMotor is actually designed for people that have nothing and no job but need to eat, they simply trade their time and energy for electricity and further translated to American Dollars.
There is a vitally important fact here to become aware of at this step in the invention process. You need to accept the fact that when you conceive an invention or process you are being perceptive, this perception is your intellectual property, so in this instance ideas are worth something, they count. Ideas develop into real things and the secret to the perpetuation of the inventive process is to write everything down in text.
It is ok to change your direction, when you become aware of a situation in real time, as an inventor you need to accept the fact that everything is in motion, and that understood leads us to the fact that everything is continually changing, including us, and to prevent yourself from accomplishing an end goal just because you couldn't accept the fact in real time, and make an improved change in your invention, will make you a cloned idiot. People that can't invent always want things to stay as they are and always have something to say like, you keep changing things, so ignore them.
Inventing is a step by step process that has variables that need to be addressed on an awarness level. When you have your invention taking physical form and you run up on a situation whereas the device itself is not functioning as you anticipated, a decision needs to be made by the inventor. If the inventor is not able to change his ways so to speak of in real time, then it becomes obvious that the product outcome will have a short lifespan of profit to the patent assignee.
There are two ways to look at this as I see it, one is that most small time manufacturers that don't retain an expensive engeneering staff would rather get a product that works and stick by it and make it the best they can. This scenario yields a solid product however if the manufacturer does not continue to make improvements on the product, others interested in the market will copy the invention product and manufacture an asimile and or improve on it. The question is how much extra will it cost ?
The second way to look at this is to continue a developement stage for the art of the invention, and in this scenario a final product never comes to reality. For example the Auto manufacturers are continually changing the product on a daily basis, and therefore the final product lives in real time only, as soon as someone comes out with more for less, that product lives until another improvement is made giving someone more for less money.
There are issues that all inventors need to re-direct themselves on as they become obvious to the inventor. Issues of safety, cost to manufacture, complex mechanical issues, and anticipated rewards issues need to be ongoing and addressed on a daily basis. This needs to be written and dated in your inventor notebook, and issues of change for any reason during the inventing phases, needs justification paperwork in the form of written text. Don't just change direction because you want to, change your direction when an observation of fact comes to light and make re-direction that is obvious a benefit to your invention product.

Re-direct-01 ; A proletariat will be the intended beneficiary of said product to come out of the project MM. Eating is very important and understood clearly by these types of people. Furthermore a prolific physicist made me aware that raw hydrogen leaked into our atmosphere will be deadly to our ability to grow food, and we all have been made aware of human error that always causes leaks in all forms of energy. The leaking gas tanks underground that contaminate the earth, the leaking oil tankers floating in the oceans, the natural gas pipes breaking, etc etc. Well I re directed into what he suggested Methane and Alcohol. Both are easy to contain and they still have the hydrogen in them that can be extracted later onsight and on demand, so I changed and re-directed.
Re-direct-02 ; What do I anticipate to gain by this project ? It does not appear by todays events in the economy that having alot of money in the future is a practicle goal. As I understand there is an asteroid with sufficient mass due to pass extremely close to the earth and between the moon and the earth in specific, in approximately three years, that has the ability and possibility of striking the earth and changing life as we know it to be. Even if the asteroid does not hit the earth there is a community that believes simply the passing by will change our atmosphere drastically. I trust that the information is true and correct but I don't think anyone that really knows will admit it, I mean anyone that could be believable. Furthermore the MANMOTOR itself is designed so that when there is no option and the lights go out and the fuel trucks stop delivering to the households, the infrastructure of power supply companies disconnected, and natural gas pipes broken, there may not be the possibility of restoration due to economic issues or natural disasters, so I changed direction.
The Anticipation of Self Gain
There are four of us involved as a team that is dedicated to bring this art and an additional art form to light. There is myself Dale, that has been a heavy equipment mechanic for many years and has several patents that have been successfull. There is Joshua and all around carpenter/mechanic and his asset is get er done and can put together new concepts with glue and straw and do it quickly and proves the concept. We have Roy an old guy like me that likes to grow organic vegetables, live off the grid, stay low key, and he is the physicist guy that does the math and that kind of stuff. Finally we have the marketing agent Dane who is into meditation stuff, technical remote viewing, and he has a publishing company and wants to develop energy projects and new ways of growing food for when things go haywire here on earth.
So where is the gain ? Is it in the patent and monitary rewards, is it knowing you did something cool that others will also like to do, is it inventing a method that will be successfull in growing food without soil or sunlight while generating electricity as a by product, is it fame ?
All of us together sat down and discussed these issues and concluded that ;
(1) The need is now to develop methods to allow us as a civilization to survive and go on after a natural disaster, (2) the holding in of information is not consistant with progress, (3) many people need to start utilizing natural ways that develop electrical energy, (4) we all may die if we don't do something now in preperation of a possible natural disaster effecting the earth, (5) having money is not necessarily consistant with success or making an individual more happy in life, (6) the earth is highly contaminated from mans hindsight, (7) education and understanding are saviors of our civilization, (8) working together as a team and focused on a goal working together to develop future survival methods is hot.
Teaching others and allowing free usage of information learned by our team is very satisfying.
